Revista 180 is celebrating 25 years. Reason enough to carry out a reflection of our role as moderators of the academic and scientific world. Precisely, this journal was founded under the conviction that the task to spread the product of its investigations and reflections among peers was imperative. Thus, 25 years and 47 issues go by, which allowed the cumulation of experience, the expansion of its universe of readers, the achievement of indexation, and reaching a high-quality standard. Luckily, in Chile there are at least fifteen other journals dedicated to the disciplinary fields of Architecture, Design, Art and Urban Studies from a creative dimension, all of which cross and intersect creating new knowledge and field studies. These complex but enriching relationships place us in a contemporary condition that withdraw from linearity reflection, discipline entrenchment, and the endogenous specialized knowledge isolation, because this information seeks its world connection.

Among celebrations, we will strive to exchange ideas between the mentioned specialized journals editors, precisely to clarify the scope of knowledge and its needed world connection. Therefore, our concern has been permanently focused on the conveyance of knowledge to the new generations; our pertinence to academic institutions and its grade of autonomy; the regulation of requirements to article submissions; and the paradox of peer reviewers who, when experienced and authorized, are less available, and when younger and less seasoned, tend to be more cooperative. All in all, subjects to our profession as editors, but concerning to authors as our duty to contribute with the dissemination of their work.

Thus, this 47^th issue serves as the advertisement of Revista 180’s anniversary, without its index giving away its occurrence or celebrating it, because our duty continues impassive, receiving and editing the scientific and intellectual production. Neither will we stop on the road, on the contrary, we will be parading along the way… e cosí discorriendo.
