The objective of this research was to understand the processes of genesis and construction of musical knowledge. A study was developed with schoolchildren, of which three cases were originally analyzed. The approaches of socio-constructivist cognition with the concepts of Proximal development zone, Construction of concepts and Microgenesis, collaborate to understand how participants enter the processes of genesis and construction of musical concepts in situation of use of the musical writing record. The results point to the relevance of the awareness of the genesis and construction of musical concepts by teachers in the processes of musicalization.
