This paper presents a reading of Enrique Lihn's Diary of Death prioritizing how the author inscribes the agony of poetic subject in relation to the disease of biographical subject, taking advantage of the possibilities that autobiographical genre gives to represent death in a situated way and expose the limitations of language. Notion that Lihn developed in his literary work through self-reflexivity, situated poetry, foreignness and reflective intertextuality. This paper also analyses the dislocation Lihn makes of the intimate diary transgressing the space and time of enunciation.
