The objective of this article is to analyze the transition process between second and third generation mining extractivism in Salaverna, municipality of Mazapil, Zacatecas, Mexico. The research hypothesis states that the expansion of third-generation mining extractivism is associated with the practice exercise companies with government support, which could involve violation of the Human Rights of the populations where they settle extractive ventures. The approach is made from the categories of extractivism and extractions, based on the analysis of the relations between local inhabitants, and the Mexican company Frisco. Documentary research techniques and fieldwork are used. The results shows that the transition between a second and third generation of extractivism does not involves only the increase in mining production, but the socioterritorial reconfiguration of space and the exercise of violent practices in rural areas by mining companies that have government protection, which influences the impairment of labour, environmental and even the Human Rights of the local population.
