This paper shows the ways of production of hegemonic images onfemaleyouth in Chile, taking as a subject study the advertising pieces appeared in a Chilean magazine, Margarita. The corpus analyzed was of 17 advertising images, all of themfrom Margarita, a Zig-Zag Publishers magazine issued between 1934 and 1939. The image as a visual device allowed understanding both the relationships that enable its construction and the productivity that constitutes the visual object. These images, by promoting actions and specific body care products, join a flow of record, language and biopolitics practice.
