SEVILLA VALLEJO, Santiago y GARIJO BELLOT, Noelia. The evolution of the poetics of Gonzalo Torrente Ballester in relation to censorship. Logos [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.1, pp.103-118. ISSN 0716-7520. http://dx.doi.org/10.15443/rl3106.
Torrente Ballester worked for the aesthetic and human renewal of literature. His poetic experienced a great evolution, from a more solemn perspective and concerned about the heroicity of myth towards a critical posture closer to demythification and the playful, intertextual and parodic creative process. In this paper we study how his poetic evolves in literary and theoretical texts in relation to censorship. It can be seen that, as he builds his poetic, the censors reduced their criticisms and, in some cases, they express their admiration for the intelligence with which he criticizes society. This is because his first works are more directed to immediate reality, while later they acquire a more subtle and universal sense.
