PAEZ MUNOZ, Dennis. Metapoetics of the Break: Change Consciousness in Three Poets of the ‘50: Efraín Huerta, Juan Gelman and Nicanor Parra. Logos [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.1, pp.26-39. ISSN 0716-7520. http://dx.doi.org/10.15443/rl3102.
Through the following reading of Latin American poems linked to the 50`s generation, we will try to show how the authors turn the poetic reflection towards their work, using the metapoem as a strategy to inscribe in the textual space the distancing with the preceding poetics, building from there their renewed vision, manifesting their own look on poetry and the elements that surround poetic practice. Our interest will be to expose the existence of a << change consciousness >> in the authors, for which the hypothesis of the existence of a certain process of poetry transformation is assumed, created by the authors of the called generation of the ´50 and ´60´in Latin America, product of multiple global and local alterations, with both literary and extra-literary motivations. These transformations are manifested in the literary plane in new expressive formulas that are inscribed within the textualities, in both formal and thematic turns, being particularly visible in the metapoems published since the second half of the twentieth century.
Palabras clave : metapoetics; new avant-garde; change consciousness.
