Two new species of the genus Jolyssellus García and Jiménez-Ramos are described coming from the Venezuelan plains: Jolyssellus benettii nov. sp. from Bajo Apure (Apure State) and J. matosi nov. sp. from Alto Apure (Apure State), central plains (Guarico State) and eastern plains (Monagas State). Habitus and genital characters of males and females are illustrated, as well as the distribution of species. The species groups benettii, nigrinus and simoni, and a key for the recognition of the Jolyssellus species are proposed.
