OCAMPO, Amanda Eva y LAURICELLA, Mirella Sofía. Rock art and occupational sequence of quebrada de Las Cañas (Tafí del valle, Tucumán, Argentina). Bol. Mus. Chil. Arte Precolomb. [online]. 2021, vol.26, n.1, pp.73-91. ISSN 0718-6894. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-68942021000100073.
This article approaches the study of rock art in the archaeological site of Quebrada de Las Cañas (Valle de Santa María, Tucumán, Argentina), in order to contribute to the understanding of the role played by these manifestations in the pre-Hispanic societies that gave them support and meaning. The current knowledge of the configuration of these expressions is deepened from an ap proach that focuses on stylistic, contextual and spatial analysis. From the results obtained, a diachronic production process of the registered rock art is proposed, which discusses the traditional proposals developed for the area.
