DIAZ TOLOSA, Regina Ingrid. The family structure and the private property in the arabic peoples. Revista de Derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso [online]. 2008, n.30, pp.359-382. ISSN 0718-6851.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-68512008000100010.

The article explores if exists some relation between the family structure and the private property juridical form in the Arabic peoples. There is defined the concept of "Arabic peoples" and their principal and general characteristics; and the family structure and the marriage as institution that gives beginning to the family is analyzed. Regarding to the juridical system of the private property, their evolution in the time is emphasized and a strong influence of the Islam in its current configuration is discovered. One concludes that it is not possible to establish a relation between the family structure and the change from a collective to an individual property. Though in the epoch before Islam exists a correlation between the tribal family structure and the collective property, in the emergence of the individual property a social or political transformation does not influence likes the adoption of the Islam, which makes the individual appear personally in the juridical life.
