RIVERA CAREAGA, Manuel Alejandro. Audiovisual Heritage: A Learning Experience for Local Projects in Chile. Rev. estud. exp. educ. [online]. 2021, vol.20, n.43, pp.401-413. ISSN 0718-5162.

The debate on audiovisual heritage has become an important point of discussion in Chile's cultural governance debate. The traditional conception of historical memory preservation allows citizens to take action directly in the preservation of material and intangible representations, resulting in conservation projects, diaries, and other documents. The aim of this study is to look at the educational aspect, presenting the development and results of a formative unit called "Local Experiences and the Importance of Audiovisual Patrimony," which is part of an academic program called "Patrimony Management" that is being carried out in the Bio-Bio region (Central South Chile), with a focus on students and faculty members of social sciences. Students were required to design projects for study, management, and intervention in the local context at the end of the course, based on the studied content and methodologies for education and education from a broad perspective. As a result, the report from this first college step promotes discussion and dissemination of this topic among local and national youth and academia.
