SANDOVAL HENRIQUEZ, Francisco Javier; YEVENES MARQUEZ, Justine Natalie  e  BADILLA QUINTANA, María Graciela. ACT-ED: unifactorial instrument to measure attitude towards the educational use of ICT in Chilean secondary education teachers. Rev. estud. exp. educ. [online]. 2020, vol.19, n.41, pp.225-237. ISSN 0718-5162.  http://dx.doi.org/10.21703/rexe.20201941sandoval12.

The attitude towards the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) by teachers is a determinant for a real integration into teaching and learning processes. This study analyzes the psychometric properties of the ACT-ED scale, which measures the attitude towards the educational use of ICT in Chilean secondary school teachers. Rigorous criteria were considered in its design and validation: theoretical review, content validation, pilot test and factor analysis. The scale was administered to a convenience sample of 182 teachers belonging to schools located in Concepción, Chile. After carrying out the confirmatory analysis, the unifactorial structure was verified with a good adjustment for the data, formed by 11 items that underlie the latent variable attitude. In this way, a valid and reliable instrument was obtained with an internal consistency according to Omega coefficient of .89. Descriptive and non-parametric inferential statistics were used to study the attitude towards the educational use of ICT in participants. Results indicated a favorable attitude without significant differences regarding sex, discipline and type of schools. In summary, guidelines for future research are presented.
