WINKLER, María Inés; PASMANIK, Diana; ALVEAR, Katherine  y  REYES, Maria Isabel. When Psychological Well Being is at Stake: The Ethical Dimension in the Professional Training of Psychologists in Chile. Ter Psicol [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.1, pp.5-24. ISSN 0718-4808.

Gathering the relevance of ethics, in a context of globalization and technological and communicational development, we asked ourselves for its place in the formation in psychology, supporting ourselves in the theoretical-methodological developments arisen from the own discipline. We present the results of the first stage of a research, in which we analyzed the professional curricula and the declared professional profiles, incorporating questions about a gender perspective. The conclusions show an almost total absence of guidelines on normative ethics and a vast variety of forms to include the ethical formation in the curricula. Although the gender perspective is almost totally absent, regarding the declared professional profiles, a greater proportion explicitly or implicitly incorporate an ethical-valoric emphasis. We conclude about the urgency to support dialogue and discussion on this matter, and the need to incorporate norms and articles that specifically address the professional formation in the Code of Ethics of the Colegio de Psicólogos de Chile

Palabras clave : Ethics; gender; education and training in psychology.
