Abstract
HURTADO, Elvis et al. Proposal for determination of chlorophyll content in tomato leaves. Idesia [online]. 2017, vol.35, n.4, pp.129-130. ISSN 0718-3429. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-34292017000400129.
There is a high correlation between SPAD units (Soil Plant Analysis Development) and chlorophyll concentration and total nitrogen in tomato leafs. The chlorophyll meter SPAD-502 allows the control of nitrogen and chlorophyll content during the development of the crop, which facilitates the nutritional management of the plant, without the need to destroy the samples and with immediate results. A rapid and non-destructive methodology is proposed to determine the nutritional status on tomato plant with the chlo-rophyll meter SPAD-502.
Keywords : SPAD-502; nitrogen; plant nutrition; chlorophyll meter.
