Resumen
MARCHANT, Carla. La práctica trashumante pehuenche en la Araucanía andina: una forma de construir y habitar los territorios de montaña del sur de Chile. Rev. geogr. Norte Gd. [online]. 2019, n.74, pp.187-206. ISSN 0718-3402. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-34022019000300187.
The objective of this work is to understand and reflect on the meaning of the main prac tices that make up the Pehuenche transhumance carried out by a community in Lonqui may and how this practice, based on local ecological knowledge, builds and means to inhabit a mountain territory of the Andean Araucanía. It is postulated that the practices developed by the community during the transhumant journey, have a social, cultural, environmental, identity and economic significance and value, which transforms this ter ritory into a space where the existential experience of living is key and pillar of its future.
