The absence of grids in meshless methods removes the burden associated to them in the modelling process. Nevertheless an adequate strategy for the selection of points which will be used in the interpolation sub domains (clouds) is required. This work presents the development and application of such a strategy. Corresponding validations are presented through simulations in the field of 3D linear elasticity, performed with a meshless program based in the Finite Point Method technique.
