The article reflects critically upon the social integration of original people in the context of the systematic globalization of social bonds. The principal argument proposes that existing social theories on modernity actually do not provide the necessary categories to sufficiently develop the proposed critical reflection. As an alternative, the article presents a conceptual framework based upon a praxis logic that permits access to non ethnocentric social bonds. Within this framework the article reflects upon the present problem of the social, cultural and political integration of the Mapuche people
