The present study analyses 24 technical manuals, which are truly representative of the dissemination discourse in didactics and which as such, it is forced to fulfil complex communicative demands. For that reason, we can suppose that different ways of textual organization, including narrative and expository-informative, coexist in the technical manual. Therefore, the objective is, by means of qualitative analysis, to account for the presence of narrative and informative fragments in the manuals, establishing relationships with the dimensions Narrative Focus and Informative Focus. These dimensions are two of the functional interpretations of co-occurrence of linguistic features, which have already been considered in the larger project from which this study derives.
