This work argues that same-sex parenting constitutes one of the most significant aspects of the discussion on the legal statute of same-sex couples. It does so by examining the arguments offered in this respect by the Chilean Supreme Court and Constitutional Tribunal in the cases Atala and Peralta. It is held here that the arguments advanced by these adjudicative bodies fail to put forward persuasive objections to same-sex parenting.
