This article reports the results of our research on the legal effects of business groups on labor relations in Chile (Fondecyt, N 1030788, years 2003-2004). After reviewing the new organizational forms businesses have developed, among which we find business groups, we analyze their impact in labor relations and in the lack of efficacy of labor norms and rights. Finally, we present the challenges this situation represents for Chilean Labor Law.
