GARCIA M, César  y  ORTEGA T, Dulia. COMUNICACION EN EL DEPARTAMENTO DE RADIOLOGIA: RADIOLOGOS Y PACIENTES. Rev. chil. radiol. [online]. 2003, vol.9, n.3, pp.151-156. ISSN 0717-9308.  http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0717-93082003000300007.

Good and effective medical-practice requires the best bonds between patients/relatives and doctors. Communication process is a bi-directional one. It implies responsibility, honesty and confidence for both doctor and patient. A successful doctor-patient relationship mostly depends on communicational skills and medical sensibility to patient needs. Radiologist-patient encounters are not common or frequent but occasionally we have them, and they are an important opportunity to communicate radiologist and patients as well. Radiology Departments' work is organised in such manner that personnel have important interactions with our patients, so it is of primary importance to give communication skills and abilities to all of them
