Diagnosis and treatment of consequences of infant sexual abuse in three women patients of a mental health general hospital. Rev. chil. neuro-psiquiatr. [online]. 2007, vol.45, n.1, pp.20-28. Child sexual abuse is frequently reported as antecedent among women seeking health care due to depression symptoms. We report, using evidence-based methodology, three cases of women attending a regional hospital in Chile, with the diagnosis of severe depression and the antecedent of child sexual abuse. We analyse the elements that have been retrospectively associated with the psychopathological consequences of child sexual abuse, particularly post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual dysfunction, revictimization, and transgenerational transmission. These cases were managed and solved by the health care team in a few sessions, at different levels, being helped by the active quest for child sexual abuse antecedents among them
