Background: One of the first goals in psychotherapy is to identify the patients resistences and efforts should be made to interpret the unconscious basis of such defences in the light of prevailing intervention contexts. Objective: To conceptualize resistences according to the communicative interaction and the interventions of the therapist. Method: Through a meticulous analysis of three scenes of Ingmar Bergmans film "Wild strawberries", we come to listen to material as if were presented by a real patient, formulating hypothesis of the prevailing resistences. Results: Trigger decoding method enables us to discover the emotional resistences that are disturbing and it is a mode of psychoanalytically oriented therapy founded on the validating process. Conclusions: The validating process is an effort to support and substantiate formulations and hypotheses referred to resistences as obstacles to the work of therapy
