The anatomical characteristics of the superior cerebellar artery has been de object of many studies. However, according to the clinical physicians , few qualitative and quantitative information of the cerebellar arteries stills exists, in particular about of vértebro-basilar arterial system, due to their importance in the surgeries carried out in the posterior cranial fossa. For this, the objective of our study, is analyse and supplement the superior cerebellar artery anatomical information, considering besides side and sex, the ethnic group and cephalic index of the specimens .   This research were done in 70 brains of Brazilian adults cadavers from both sexes. with anthropological registration, collectioned for research only, its vascular system was injected with red collored neopren latex and fixed into a 10 % formaldehyde solution, in the Descriptive and Topographic Anatomy Laboratory, Universidade Federal de São Paulo- Escola Paulista de Medicina, São Paulo, Brasil. The cephalic measurements and cephalic index calculus, were carried out according to MARTIN-SALLER techniques.   The right medial branch, arised in the anterior pons segment of the superior cerebellar artery in the 85.7% in masculine sex and 67.9% in the feminine; 73.3% in the white and 88.0 % in the non-white groups; in 78.1% in the dolicho-mesocephalics and 78.9% in the brachycephalics specimens. The right lateral branch, arised in the ambiens segment in the 85.7% in both sexes, in 84.5% in the white and 88.0 % in non-white groups; in 87.5% in the dolicho-mesocephalics and in 84.2 in brachycephalics specimens.   The variability of the arterial patterns is demonstrated when differents parameters are used and were considering anthropological characteristics of the studied specimens
