SANHUEZA, C e OTEO, C. Application of two design procedures and analysis of displacements of continuous diaphragm walls in the Madrid metro. Revista de la Construcción [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.3, pp. 99-109. ISSN 0718-915X. doi: 10.4067/S0718-915X2011000300010.
This article presents the results from two design procedures performed on continuous diaphragm walls of the Madrid Metro. The first case is based on a soil reacting on a Winkler space and was implemented in RIDO; the second case is based on the Finite Element method and was implemented on PLAXIS. Site data was collected at the Metronorte line during the 2003-2007 Metro Extension Project in Madrid, and the results were compared to numerical predictions. This study validated the soil parameters proposed by R. Ortiz and C. Oteo (2003).
