One of the matters discussed concerning parricide is if this crime can be ascribed to the assumptions that someone murders one of the people this legal characterization refers to, knowing the relationship that links them to the victim but without the actual intention to cause them death. This article focuses on the arguments supporting this thesis; arguments that due to their weakness entail significant legal insecurity and probable discriminatory effects. On the other hand, albeit the study of the different conceptions of intent is not conclusive, it sheds light on the content of the subjective aspect of this crime.
