A questionnaire that includes 36 statements using a Likert scale for investigating the student's conceptions on three aspects about the nature of knowledge has been constructed and applied. The three aspects are: general knowledge, scientific knowledge and scientific models. To reach some understanding about the nature of science and scientific knowledge is a main target in education that should be consolidated at university and tertiary level. The conceptions of 32 freshman students and 33 students from tertiary level institute were investigated. Overall results show no significant differences between these two groups of students. They also indicate that ideas commonly accepted by the scientific community on the nature of sciences are not assimilated by students during their science courses.
