Chylous fistula is an uncommon complication of abdominal and thoracic surgery. The conservative treatment consists in the use of low medium chain fat diets or total parenteral nutrition. Recently, the use of somatostatin for this complication has been reported. We report three patients with chylous fistula, a 35 years old male subjected to the excision of a retroperitoneal cystic teratoma, a 45 years old female subjected to the excision of an large abdominal lymphangioleiomioma and a 50 years old female subjected to a hysterectomy for an endometrial carcinoma. All were successfully treated with somatostatin
