VIVANCO MARTINEZ, ÁNGELA. THE EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTIVE PILL COMMONLY KNOWN AS "MORNING-AFTER PILL" OR "DAYAFTER PILL". Rev. chil. derecho [online]. 2008, vol.35, n.3, pp. 543-577. ISSN 0718-3437. http://dx.doi.org/10.4067/S0718-34372008000300009.
The decision of the Constitutional Court about the so called "Morning-after pill" or "Day after pill" has terminated a long discussion initiated in trial courts. More than resolving the issue about the drug preventing possible post-fertilization implantation of a blastocyst (embryo) in the uterus of the mother, the decision has come to give protection to the embryo facing potential harm, which means a precautionary measure in favor of the protection of the life and the idea of necessary protection of the human being since its conception.
