Present article discuses the traditional Latin American "hacienda". The most known one is the agrarian hacienda, signed by extensive activity, primary production and great landowners; but this paper focuses the viticulturist hacienda. This model has many characteristic in common with the agrarian model; both are authoritarian habits and conservative ideologies. But also, there are some interesting differences. On the one hand, the viticulturist hacienda is well connected with de little property and intensive agriculture oriented to the industry; on the other, it is more dynamic in economic and social terms. The study is focused on Cuyo Province, Chile's Kingdom, based on original files of Santiago, San Juan, Mendoza and Buenos Aires
