The syndical conflicts previous to the great strikes from 1921 to 1922 in Santa Cruz, show the sectorial and transnacional character of the social conflicts in the extreme south of Argentina. The sindical life in Santa Cruz begins in 1913 impulsed by the initiative of Argentine, Spanish, and Chilean workers, under the influence of the Magallanes Worker´s Federation, which had been founded in 1911. The first agremiation to surge on Argentine territory is the Río Gallegos Worker´s Federation. From its very beginning the Chilean influence is evident in its organization and activity. The presence of a representant of the Punta Arenas Federation in the first as well as in the subsequent meetings, the choice of the statute of the Chilean Federation as a model for the confection of the Santa Cruz agremeation, the contact and the constant solidarity between the two agroupations, show the intimate realationship as well as the important influence that the Magallanes agremeation held over the Argentine. In this research I propose to analyse the syndical actions of the Santa Cruz workers which took place from 1919 to 1921. The present investigation is based on contemporary documents such as pamphlets, letters, telegrams, periodistical notes, etc
