One of the key issues in the recognizing process of indigenous people's rights at the international and national levels is the capacity to self-identification, which is part of a wider principle related to the right to cultural identity. This later right, which counts on an increasing social and legal recognition, is currently claimed by a wide number of indigenous peoples all over the world
