Being a century of the closing of San Rafael Salesian Mission at Dawson Island, some considera-tions and refections are done; about what was the humanitarian, civilization and Christianization project; its development, specially the relevance and effectiveness of the management system considering their objectives and, finally, some considerations about the consequences for the ethnic history, mainly for the selk’nam.
