Preliminary results of a research that analyses the centrality that consumer goods reaches in teenagers individualization process are presented. Some dynamics which can be recognized in life-stories of eight teenagers from Santiago are described as the personalization-search through consumption of serial objects and fashion, and its potentialities and limitations consequent of their place in social space. From the very individuals the permanent recons-truction of stories is notice, that simultaneously moves between affiliation to imaginary significations that embody in specific reference groups, to the opposition to others, which embody in rejected groups.
