BAHAMONDE, Juan. The presence of counter-hegemonic and poetic-musical voices, in Chiloé. Alpha [online]. 2006, n.23, pp. 57-85. ISSN 0718-2201. doi: 10.4067/S0718-22012006000200004.
This article applies a literary semeiotic analysis to twelve selected cuecas -Chilean traditional songs-, (scripts in the appendix), currently performed in Chiloé. These cuecas, called here poetic-musical voices, belong to authors and singers from two different periods. Following J. J. Brünner’s studies about Postmodernism, we compare the lyrics of five traditional cuecas, selected from the oral tradition and identified from a period before 1980, to seven pieces of well-known authors, published after 1987
