The article reviews the Uruguayan political year, taken into account the government successes in areas as the growth of the economy, the social indicators, and the advances in the human rights. The article also analyses the conflict between Uruguay and Argentina, the debate on the Uruguayan international insertion, the election of authorities of the government party, and the performance of the Executive and Legislative branches. The article concludes with a reflection on the challenges of the Uruguayan democracy
