This paper presents a Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol proposal, based on a Time Division Multiple Access/Time Division Duplex scheme (TDMA/TDD), to manage the distribution of available bandwidth among wireless network users. Special attention is given to the signalling process of the protocol, that informs the remote terminals about the next frame configuration, as well as the system status. In order to measure the efficiency of the scheme, parameters like delay and throughput were taken. The analysis showed that for time sensitive services the service establishing delay is small. With the results obtained, it is concluded that this protocol could be implemented in a wireless local network, providing the same quality as that of wired systems
