PEREZ, S.A.; NINO, Z.M. y LLOBREGAT, M.J.. Development of Simulation Software for the Air Pollution Control Processes. Inf. tecnol. [online]. 2004, vol.15, n.2, pp. 55-62. ISSN 0718-0764. doi: 10.4067/S0718-07642004000200010.
The objective of this research was to develop a software for the simulation of air pollution control processes. The software developed, named SIMTEGUC, uses a modular and sequential approach for the management and control of the information flow during the process simulation. The following simulation units were developed: cyclones, bag filters, electrostatic precipitators, mixers, flow splitters, units for the control and promotion of convergence in recycling processes, absorbers and particle scrubbers. All these units were validated individually through a comparative study of the results obtained from the simulation and the results from a commercial simulation program, with a deviation of less than 7%. It was concluded that the program developed produced good results and could be extended to other areas
