This work highlights the precariousness of Chilean Constitutional Law with respect to the incorporation of international conventional Law, both in general and specifically in the area of human rights. The status accorded to human rights treaties by legal scholarship and judicial decisions is examined, and advocacy is advanced for further development of constitutional norms on the matter of incorporation of international treaties on human rights.
