A simple and efficient method of zinc dust/ammonium chloride system for the terminal olefination of á-alkoxy- ß-halides has been described. The reaction is carried out under mild conditions and yields of the corresponding terminal olefinic products are good. The significant feature of this method is the isolation of the pure product by simple work up in a short time.
