The two title salts, (CH₂-CH₃)₂NH₂⁺ C₅NH₃NO₂SO₃^- and C₄H₈ONH₂⁺ C₅NH₃NO₂SO₃^-, crystallize in space group P2₁/n and P2₁/a respectively, with one ion pair in the asymmetric unit. In both structures, conventional hydrogen bonds link anions and cations in chains running along directions [1 0 1] and [0 1 0] for the first and second salts respectively
