Resumen

This study analyzed the use of Nursing Care Plan as a strategy to systematize Nursing Care and identified factors that are helping or impairing its utilization in inpatient units. It is a case study launched at the Federal University of Minas Gerais University Hospital. Data were collected through interviews with nurses and results showed that the care plan is a tool that systematizes the care if individualized, elaborated and updated according to patients' needs. As reported by some nurses, the importance of the care plan is doubtful due to institutional limits that impair its implementation
