We present 16 patients that were submitted to vaginal hysterectomy with or without vaginal plastic repair, carriers of stress incontinence of urine. At the same time they had the correction of their incontinence with a tension free vaginal tape (TVT) device. This was done in between April and July of 2003. Average age was 49 years. 9 patients had germine SIU and in 5 even, was mixed. Ten had fibroid uterine or adenomyosis and five were operated for prolapse. One patient had a previous hysterectomy. Operating time was 12 minutes. Stay after surgery was of 2.4 days. Fifteen patient were completly continent and one was partially continent during the follow-up. There were no complications
