Intra-site variation of lithics reduction sequences in two late prehistoric settlements at Maipo river basin, Central Chile, is analized by comparison of technological variables observed in their debitage assemblages. Technological behavior observed for these sites allow for a spatial segregation of lithic production in terms of differential deposition of mass material and raw materials (density). The lithic assemblages show generalized technological characteristics in different worked sectors. Results obtained are discussed in function of technological factors local lithics resources availability and as the tecno-functional orientation of each raw material assemblage
