The results of six thermoluminescence dating of burnt rocks from two Archaic sites (Los Vilos, Provincia de Choapa, IV Región) are presented. The results are coherent with both sites radicarbon date. Results are discussed in relation to the date sites. We also discuss the value of thermoluminescence dating in archaelogical contexts lacking organic remains and-or to chronologize different combustion events in prehistoric hearths.
