The demands of the productive activities of the port of Valparaiso have encouraged its growth. The need for physical space creates expansion plans of the marine front, which superimposes onto the natural urban development, generating vertical city-blocks and buildings where underground storage, first floor commercial units and high rise building are layered upon each other.
