Thecity, insertedintheflowsofcapitalism,wascompared by Baudelaireand his reader Benjamín with the prostítute. In another context, neoliberal and dictatorial, the Chilean poet Carmen Berenguer brings up to date the topic \n Huellas de Siglo ^986). Berenguer claimsthat the wholecity has become a brothel whereeverything is a good, and so political and class differences give up. The poet shows thatwhenachieving the mercantilecharacterof the ideal citizenship paradigm, a softening process of the individual was necessary, which results in a consumen.
