GOMEZ ROJO, María Encarnación. Legal History of Fire in Ancient Times and in the Medieval Castilian Legislation: Urban and Environmental Implications. Rev. estud. hist.-juríd. [online]. 2011, n.33, pp. 321-373. ISSN 0716-5455. doi: 10.4067/S0716-54552011000100009.
This paper will briefly set forth the legal history of fires from an environmental and urban stand point, where the main sources that regulate it in the Ancient world (from the "Hammurabi Code" to the Liber Iudiciorum) until the Castilian Medieval texts (a significant number of local and territorial sources are analyzed) are brought forward. The foregoing will be developed always keeping in mind the basis for the environment protection included in the Old Testament and in the Koran.
