The article offers a reconstruction of the actio quod iussu, and explains its importance to the development of economic activities, mainly commercial, based on a critical examination of the previous reconstruction proposals made by Otto Lenel and Adolf Rudorff. Special investigation is dedicated to the iussum, basic foundation for the concession of the action. In relation to this, two problems are investigated, which are: the beneficiary of the iussum and the interpretation of its sense and effects on Tab. Pomp. 7, issue which links the actio quod iussu to the development tools of Roman commerce.
