During a necropsy of a 13 years old equine from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro was observed the presence of a nodular lesion in the aorta artery, where 65 Strongylus vulgaris immature stages were recovered. This nematode is responsable for many cases of thrombus formation in mesenteric arteries in equines
